Destined to be a style icon, Christopher Haggarty moved from the small country town Taree to the city of Sydney as a teenager. He instantly got accepted into The Fashion Design Studio where he started to study fashion design. Before completing his first year in the city, only months into his course he landed a job as a fashion designer and illustrator. Ever the creative, his fashion illustrations, artworks and photographs have been both published and exhibited. After working as a fashion designer he found himself becoming more obsessed with styling and the idea of dictating the trends opposed to designing them. He went and studied fashion business at FBI Fashion College while making the bold move into fashion styling and blogging.
Ten years on, he is now the editor of Men's Style Report. Based from Sydney, MensStyleReport.com prides itself on covering both the local and international men's style trends. The leading men's style blog showcases the trends right as they happen. The collections that are published are majorly edited to show the key trends, that will eventually work their way down to the everyday consumer. It's designed to be extremely minimal, highly visual and make the awareness of the forthcoming trends available to the everyday man.
As well as editing Men's Style Report, he also works closely with brands as a creative consultant. He covers everything from fashion photography to visual merchandising, casting models, social media, style blogging and fashion buying. On top of all this Christopher continues to work as a stylist and creative director. He styles celebrities, runway shows, campaign and editorial shoots. His famous eye for style has also been used in food styling and interior design. Not to mention his work within the music, television and film industries, working in wardrobe, costume and set design. Having become equally as recognizable as the celebrities he dresses, he's often featured on the other side of the camera, modelling in various shoots and having cameos in music videos, television shows and major blockbuster movies.
Now the unofficial face of Australian men's style, Mr Haggarty is a regular on the Sydney social scene and a front row fixture at Fashion Week. His fashion commentating, trend dictating and notorious outlook on style, has gathered him a massive following. He is frequently seen on all the fashion blogs, profiled in newspapers and seen on television. Most recently seen on ABC's 7.30 in an interview about the blog, in The Sunday Telegraph's Sunday Style Magazine in a full page article about his personal style and on The Huffington Post MBFWA best dressed list. He also contributes and is frequently published in numerous blogs and leading publications including Vogue.
